Loan Entrance Counseling
All first-time loan borrowers at this campus are required to complete Loan Entrance Counseling. A student's rights and responsibilities as a borrower are discussed. No loan proceeds can be paid to a student's account until entrance counseling is completed.
Please complete Loan Entrance Counseling at www.studentloans.gov. Log in using your FSA ID; select “Counseling”, then complete “Loan Entrance Counseling” for Direct Subsidized and Direct Unsubsidized loans. The school will be notified electronically when Entrance Counseling is completed. Assistance is available in the Financial Aid Office if needed.
Loan Exit Counseling
Federal Regulations require any student who receives a Federal Student Loan to participate in Exit Counseling upon completion of his/her program or otherwise ending enrollment. During this session you will learn about the following information:
- Consolidating your Federal Student Loans
- Repayment Options
If you have ever taken student loans, attended classes on the Great Falls College MSU campus and are discontinuing your enrollment, please complete Loan Exit Counseling at https://studentloans.ed.gov. Log in using your FSA ID; select “Counseling”, then complete “Loan Exit Counseling”. The school will be notified electronically when Exit Counseling is completed.
How do I receive my refund?
Direct Deposit is the preferred method for GFC MSU students to receive their financial aid refunds. To sign up please log into your BannerWeb/MyInfo account. Click on Student Services. Click on Student Records. Click on Web Bill Summary. Select the current financial aid term. Scroll down and click on QuikPay. On the left side- click on Manage Refunds. Complete the required information.
Please make sure that your information is up to date each semester.
Students will have their check mailed to them if they did no set up Direct Deposit. We encourage everyone to make sure their address is correct.
If you have moved, address changes must be made in writing with Admissions. Email Admissions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
After financial aid pays for the student's tuition, fees and bookstore charges, the remainder is refunded to the student for living and miscellaneous expenses. Students should review their bill on Banner Web/My Info the week prior to refunds to assure all requirements are satisfied and a check is available.
