Loan Entrance Counseling

All first-time loan borrowers at this campus are required to complete Loan Entrance Counseling. A student's rights and responsibilities as a borrower are discussed. No loan proceeds can be paid to a student's account until entrance counseling is completed.

Please complete Loan Entrance Counseling at www.studentloans.gov. Log in using your FSA ID; select “Counseling”, then complete “Loan Entrance Counseling” for Direct Subsidized and Direct Unsubsidized loans. The school will be notified electronically when Entrance Counseling is completed. Assistance is available in the Financial Aid Office if needed.

Loan Exit Counseling

Federal Regulations require any student who receives a Federal Student Loan to participate in Exit Counseling upon completion of his/her program or otherwise ending enrollment. During this session you will learn about the following information:

  • Consolidating your Federal Student Loans
  • Deferments
  • Forbearance
  • Repayment Options

If you have ever taken student loans, attended classes on the Great Falls College MSU campus and are discontinuing your enrollment, please complete Loan Exit Counseling at https://studentloans.ed.gov. Log in using your FSA ID; select “Counseling”, then complete “Loan Exit Counseling”. The school will be notified electronically when Exit Counseling is completed.

How do I receive my refund?
