Great Falls College MSU Campus Commencement 2020
Great Falls College MSU’s 2020 Commencement Ceremony is Saturday, May 9, 2020, 10:00 am in University of Providence McLaughlin Center.
Graduates will assemble on the Great Falls College MSU (GFC MSU) campus in Heritage Hall at 8:00 a.m. for check-in. At approximately 9:30 a.m., graduates will process to the UProv’s McLaughlin Center for the Commencement Ceremony.
Doors at the UP McLaughlin Center open to the public at 9:00 a.m., and the ceremony will start at 10:00 a.m. The ceremony will last 1 to 1.5 hours, followed by a reception for you and your families and friends in GFC MSU Heritage Hall.
When making the decision to attend the Commencement Ceremony, please consider the importance of this event. By completing your degree program, you have proven to yourself and to the world that you have the intelligence and fortitude to accomplish your goals. This event marks an important milestone in your life and we truly hope you will choose to be part of this celebration as we honor your achievements along with those of your fellow classmates.
Caps, gowns and commencement announcements may be purchased through the GFC MSU Bookstore or the Josten’s website, jostens.com. Honors cords will be handed out before the ceremony to students who earned High Honors (GPA of 3.75-4.00) or Honors (GPA of 3.50-3.74). To determine these honors, each student’s GPA at the conclusion of Fall 2019 semester will be used.
All degree candidates or credential recipients participating in the ceremony must wear academic regalia. Mortar boards may be embellished, within reason and using appropriate discretion. If embellishments are deemed inappropriate, however, you will be asked to not wear them in the ceremony. Adornment to gowns are not allowed. Honors cords are authorized to be worn as part of the regalia. Appropriate clothing should be worn beneath the regalia. Those who are not dressed properly will be asked to leave the assembly area and will not be allowed to participate.

Note: Please leave any valuables at home as there is no way to secure valuables while the ceremony is taking place. You may meet your family and friends after the ceremony back at Heritage Hall at the commencement reception.
Your diploma will be mailed on or before July 31, 2020 after the conclusion of your graduation term to the address requested on your graduation application. If your address has or will be changing, please provide the Registrar’s Office with this information as quickly as possible.

Please watch for signage upon entering the McLaughlin Center, and you will be directed to the seating area. A reception for graduates and their families will be held in Heritage Hall at Great Falls College MSU immediately following the commencement ceremony. Light refreshments will be served.
